fake vomit

anyone know how to make fake vomit look convincing, not too chunky but not too liquidy either.

we need to make some soon and dont want to make the actors hold cold veggie soup in their mouths otherwise they'll probably be sick fer real (which will look convincing but unethical maybe)

Dog food, Sweetcorn (only a little though), diced carrots and some mayonaise...

That should do the trick.

P.S. Not recommended for putting in mouths, just lay a pile of it on the pavement.

Why do you need fake vomit?
All you have to do is make your actor turn around, add the nise and then come back into shot.

Sometimes, the art of suggestion is much better than showing all the gory (and discusting) details.

If you show a scene where someone throws up, the audience will either go "Ewww! Yuck" and feel sick themselves, or they will go "That looks sooo fake!"!

If you show the actor turning round and add a little noise (nothing o.t.t.) then the audience will have to imagine the details, which can be much more graphic and realistic than you could pull off.

The art (not that I claim to be an expert - I'm not...) is not to show too much. Show too little and make your audience figure out the rest.

(It's also much easier to film as well!)

I've used fruit salad before and that works quite well. Try the cheap Tesco tinned stuff.

However, this film was shot with a sepia tint so maybe that's the only reason it looked good.
